The Kitten's Cradle
The Kittens Cradle is a 501C nonprofit no-kill animal rescue founded in 2014 by a small dedicated group of volunteers that care for, rehabilitate, and protect animals using a home-based foster program until the perfect loving adoptive home is found. The Kittens Cradle takes in strays, unwanted pets, animals from local shelters, and those that are released to us by families that are no longer able to care for them. All of our foster pets live with their foster family while they receive vet care and prepare for adoption. Their vet care includes spay/neuter, feline leukemia testing, deworming, and being brought up to date on vaccinations, in addition to any other medical care needed to ensure they are healthy. How we prepare them for adoption is by simply providing safety and love while the foster family and foster pet get to know each other. Taking this time allows us to discover the foster pet's personality and needs, which helps us find a perfect match for both the foster pet and their adoptive family.
Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society
Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society (MCRS) is a nonprofit serving companion rabbits and their people through adoption and educational programming. We are a rescue to rescue organization, meaning we partner with shelters and rescues providing an opportunity for rabbits to find their forever homes. Our education programs include a free Bunny Basics Class, Email Hotline, and Hoppy Hour.
Furball Farm Pet Sanctuary
Furball Farm Pet Sanctuary is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to save abandoned, unwanted and helpless cats. The cats that are accepted have a date with euthanasia. We are the LAST resort. We will only accept cats from clinics/rescues/impound/humane societies that are deemed unadoptable due to behavior. Very often, after a formally deemed "unadoptable" cat has entered our sanctuary, we realize they are sweet cats that just didn't adjust well to life in a cage. Those cats will be available for adoption for a donation. We do not believe in the destruction of healthy pets. Only animals suffering from incurable illness or injury are humanely euthanized.
Great Tails Animal Rescue
Great Tails Animal Rescue is dedicated to providing temporary shelter and veterinary care for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals in Itasca County, Minnesota and surrounding areas, with the purpose of finding loving, permanent homes. Rabbit Rescue of MN
Rabbit Rescue of MN is a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue. Our mission is somewhat different from that of many other rescues as we take in sick, abused, neglected, abandoned and unwanted domestic rabbits as well as rabbits from the public that are no longer wanted. We fundraise in order to get proper vetting and then focus on rehabilitation to ready our rabbits for their furever homes. We are 100% volunteer-based and have no paid staff. All of our rescue rabbits are cared for in private foster homes where they are properly housed and receive love and socialization.
Feline Rescue, Inc.
Feline Rescue, Inc. is a volunteer-based organization and is funded exclusively through donations and grants. We receive no municipal, state, or federal funding. We provide rescue and relief to the homeless and endangered cats in our community through programs that offer shelter, foster, social and medical rehabilitation, feral and stray management, spay/neuter subsidy, and community education.
Consignment Cats of Secondhand Hounds
Secondhand Hounds is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue in Minnesota. Founded in July of 2009, our many volunteers have made a positive impact on the lives of many dogs and cats in our community. Helping Paws of Southern MN
We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. A group of unpaid volunteers working in the Steele County and surrounding areas to reduce the numbers in feral/free roaming cat colonies. Just one unspayed female cat and her off-spring can produce up to 48 kittens per calendar year. We also help folks in the community: Vet, Spay and Neuter, pets and feral cat colonies. In addition, we provide all aspects of cat care by TNR, (Trap-Neuter-Return/Re-home), fostering and transporting. We are currently working in conjunction with Animal Control and local area rescues to obtain foster homes and forever homes for cats in crisis.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for the feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes. Through our spay/neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
Cause For Paws Minnesota
Cause for Paws is a Minnesota nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization founded in 1998. It is a small all-volunteer group of friends who love cats and want to make a difference for cats in our community. The small group's main focus is helping stray and abandoned cats and kittens find loving, permanent homes. Cats are fostered in volunteers' homes; there is no shelter facility. The goal of every Cause for Paws adoption is a home where the cat and the other family members -- both two-legged and four-legged -- will thrive.
SCRAM Animal Rescue
SCRAM is a non-profit, 501c3 tax exempt, animal welfare organization. We take in, foster and socialize cats/kittens to be good house pets. We provide for vet care as needed and have the animals spay/neutered. We prepare these pets for adoption to good homes where the animals' needs and nature are respected. We educate about proper pet care. We advocate for animal interests and to ensure animal protection laws are properly enforced. We work with the media to bring attention to animal issues and raise awareness about the need for change. We pull from the impound facilities to include sick, injured, elderly senior (over 7 yrs) cats that have been confined to a small, cold, dark cube for weeks to months. SCRAM will give EVERY cat a chance at a better life no matter what!
